Jeff Lu

Managing Director at EQT Partners

Jeff is a Managing Director at EQT Partners. He is based in Hong Kong and covers growth and venture investments across Asia-Pacific with a sector focus on software and climate tech.

Prior to EQT, Jeff was part of the founding team of Princeville Capital, a multi-strategy global investment firm with a focus on growth-stage technology. At Princeville, Jeff led investments in such companies as Blink Health, Included Health (f.k.a. Doctor on Demand), Immutable X, and Cainiao. He also participated in the $2.35 billion De-SPAC of Gogoro, the global leader in two-wheeler electrification. In total, Jeff has over a decade of experience in the technology sector across Asia and the US.

Jeff started his career at Morgan Stanley’s Hong Kong M&A division, where he was the top-ranked analyst in his class. In between Princeville and Morgan Stanley, he received his MBA from the Wharton School. He also holds a B.A. in Economics with Phi Beta Kappa honors from Stanford University. Jeff is a graduate of Phillips Academy, Class of 2008.

Outside of EQT, Jeff enjoys running, boxing, and shooting hoops. He is an amateur wedding DJ and an avid fantasy sports manager. Jeff speaks English and Mandarin.
